Taxes

All tax-exempt organizations,
including PTA Units and Councils,
must submit Federal and State tax returns.

•	All PTAs, incorporated or unincorporated, must file.
•	The specific tax forms depend on your PTA's gross receipts and total assets.
•	Filing deadline: four months and 15 days after the end of your PTA's fiscal year.

Membership

To remain in “good standing,” a Local Unit PTA must have at least 15 members, including three officers
(President, Secretary, & Treasurer), and must submit per capita dues by the deadlines.
