Founded in 1897, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a nationwide network connecting families, students, educators, and community leaders, who for more than 125 years, have turned their voices into action to strengthen schools, support families, and create better opportunities for every child.  From child labor laws and universal kindergarten to the National School Lunch Program, PTA members have helped champion programs and protections that benefit children and families today.  Today, more than 3 million people nationwide—with 25,000 members across Sixth District—continue that legacy of advocacy, connection, and community.
