It is the duty of the Sixth District PTA Office Manager to oversee, in a timely manner, the flow of information and materials through the Sixth District PTA office with California State PTA (officers and staff), district officers, and councils.

Hours: Part-time 10 hours per week (5 hours per day, 2 days per week)
24 hours Sick Leave granted annually (July-June); does not accrue
Location: Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) 1290 Ridder Park Dr, San Jose, CA 95131
Qualifications:
Basic computer skills
Proficient in Google Workspace Apps, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Organized and detail oriented
Ability to communicate and perform as part of a team
Can work independently
Knowledge of PTA processes, structure and systems (i.e. myPTEZ, e-bylaws) are helpful, but not required
Responsibilities:
Assisting Sixth District PTA President and other officers/chairpersons and at Training days, as needed (paid hours).
Serving as an advisor to the Sixth District PTA Office and Compliance Committees. Paid hours for participation in the monthly Committee meeting(s).
Acting as Sixth District PTA liaison to SCCOE departments/personnel.
Processing and documenting incoming and outgoing mail.
Responding to all communications (phone calls, email inquiries) and forwarding to the appropriate Sixth District PTA officer(s) and/or council officer(s).
Keeping a log of questions asked by unit/council officers, monitoring questions for trends, and forwarding information to the appropriate district officer.
Maintaining electronic (Google Suite) documentation of Sixth District PTA information
Maintaining office inventory/equipment.
Coordinating the sale of PTA items.
The Sixth District Office will be closed and the office manager does not work during the following times:
President’s Week in February (third week of February)
the month of July
the final two weeks of December and first week of January (matching school holiday periods).
any SCCOE holiday that coincides with a regularly scheduled work day (i.e. Thanksgiving day).
